Residents of the Vieux Fort are pledging to keep agitating against the DSH project in 2017.  The concerned citizens group is reportedly planning a series of town hall meetings, which they say will be aimed at informing members of the public about the impact of the DSH project. There is also talk of protest in Vieux Fort in the coming days. Vieux Fort North MP, Moses Jn Baptiste, has called on the people of Aupicon and Pierrot to wake up and take notice of the project. He says the government must answer as to whether it is true that, 90 Acres from George Odlum National Stadium north west into Pierrot are being handed over to the investor. He wants to know how many families in Aupicon and Pierrot are within the 90 acres and when they will be told formerly that their properties will be impacted. For his part, the Prime Minister has previously indicated that negotiations are still ongoing with the investor and that only the race track portion of the project is so far coming on stream.
