On Friday 15th June 2018, students from Secondary Schools across the island assemble to embrace their date with culinary destiny. As the time draws nearer, 12 aspiring chefs are feeling their nerves and excitement intensify in anticipation of the 2018. With less than 5 days to go, the Ciceron Secondary School is expected to be decorated with colours of 6 secondary schools vying for the Chefs in Schools Cook Off Competition 2018. The participating schools are: Ciceron Secondary School, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School, Castries Comprehensive Secondary School, Micoud Secondary School and Entrepot Secondary School. Tourism Enhancement Fund – Projects Coordinator, Wendel George, says preparation has been intense. George says the competition has contributed meaningfully to the lives of students. The program is highly regarded and keenly contested. The competition is scheduled for Friday 15th June 2018 at the Ciceron Secondary School from 9:00am. Each team will be given one hour to prepare a National/Signature Dish. After the 1st round, scores will be tallied and three teams with the highest scores will battle in the second round for the Championship title. In the second round, the Mystery Basket, students will be awarded an hour and a half to prepare their dish.
